Who We Are

Michael Kemp
Business Owner and Principal Physiotherapist

Michael is Mid-North Coast born and bred.  After completing high school he served with the Royal Australian Air Force on overseas operations during times of conflict.   After leaving the Air Force Michael set out to become a physiotherapist.
On graduation of his Physiotherapy degree, Michael returned home to his property west of Kempsey to start a business and a family.  Michael and his wife (Brigitte) have three  young boys.
He has undertaken range of positions across Port Macquarie, Kempsey and South West Rocks – gaining experience in gerontology, dry needling, sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. 
When not enjoying his family and work, Michael loves his AFL and hopes to participate more with the Port Macquarie Magpies.

John Stangherlin

John graduated from Lincoln College of Health Sciences (Latrobe Uni) in 1987.  He worked at Warnambool and District Base Hospital from 1987 until 1995 as the Deputy Chief Physiotherapist and Grade 2 in charge of 24 bed Rehabilitation Unit.
During this time he was also Grade 2 physiotherapist at the MS Society of Victoria.
He subsequently moved to Port Macquarie where he worked at the Port Base Hospital part-time and in private practice with Louis Voutas and John Scullin. 
From 2003 to 2007 John became the Principal Physiotherapist at Professional Injury Management in Port Macquarie, and since then has been operating  his own business in  private practice in Port Macquarie.  
John has been the physiotherapist for
He joined the Keystone Health team in October 2014 as Senior Physiotherapist.

Scott Peisley

Scott grew up on the North Coast of NSW specifically (Kempsey and Port Macquarie). He left for Newcastle to undertake his study as a physiotherapist but has decided to return to the coastal towns he loves.
Scott wanted to become a physiotherapist from the age of 12 after competing in a variety of sports: Athletics (2000m steeplechase and 3000m) and Powerlifting
During and after high school, Scott competed in the world junior championships as a powerlifter and placed third as a best result. Scott went on to become head coach of the Australian junior powerlifting team in later years.
He has undertaken many positions in his degree including: President of the University of Newcastle physiotherapy society and student ambassador Australian Physiotherapy Association (University of Newcastle branch). Scott has a particular passion for rural health, sports and spinal and lower limb pathologies.
In his personal time Scott enjoys the gym, mixed martial arts and surfing on the north coast beaches.

Jennifer Vickery

Jen was born and raised in Wollongong, N.S.W.
 Jen has always been an all-rounder with sport, having been a swimmer, played tennis, soccer, basketball and currently hockey, it was through playing sport Jen developed an interest for injuries and injury management.
 In 2014, Jen graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. In early 2015, Jen relocated to Kempsey to work for Keystone Health and is keen to work with the communities of Kempsey and South West Rocks to improve their health and quality of life.
 In her spare time Jen loves going to the beach, camping, 4WD and exploring the great destinations the Mid- North coast has to offer.

Alanna McRae

Allie comes from a Naval family so has moved around the country and spent time in the USA before moving  to Lismore to study at Southern Cross University.
Allie completed a Bachelor Degree in Exercise and Sports Science. She then moved to Western Australia with her partner to complete her postgraduate studies in Exercise Rehabilitation at the University of Western Australia.
Allie came out of this degree with an accreditation from ESSA as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, a particular interest in cardiac rehab and a passion for using exercise to help the community. Allie grew up swimming and playing water polo, however, has now turned into a regular ‘gym junkie’.
Allie’s interests include going to the gym, the beach, seeing family and friends, catching up with Tom, and being a proud South Sydney Rabbitohs supporter. I am looking forward to working with the communities of South West Rocks, Kempsey and Port Macquarie.

Margaret has 25 years’ experience as a Physiotherapist – mainly in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
(Special interests:   She has a special interest in the treatment of complex, chronic disorders, pain management, health coaching and self-management programs,  women’s health)  

Hannah Becker

Hannah was born and raised in Germany.
She completed her Physiotherapy training in Amsterdam at the European School of Physiotherapy.
Hannah moved to Australia in 2013 to join Keystone Health and has enjoyed working in the Kempsey Clinic since then.
Hannah has a particular interest in Neuromuscular Physiotherapy.
Hannah is easy-going and enjoying life.  She personally enjoys anything in and around the water – particularly surfing!, travel especially in Europe, the US, Africa and Australia.  
Gouri Godase

Gouri was born in India .After completing her graduation in Physiotherapy in 2005 , she undertook post graduate studies in Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy. Gouri worked in India‘s renowned Hospital – Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai before moving to Australia. Gouri started working in Australia at the Rehabilitation Hospital in Sydney and then moved on to the Aged care Industry.
Gouri has been working in the Aged care Industry for more than 4 years now and enjoys working with the elderly.
Gouri is passionate about the Physiotherapy Profession, and believes that working in the Physiotherapy field is a constant challenge, where every day is a new and interesting learning experience. Gouri love’s Bollywood Dancing, and is mum to a 2 year  boy and enjoys playing with him .
Kate Greener

Kate is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Pilates Instructor who graduated from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in 2005.
Since graduating Kate has gained vast experience, working in both private practice and neurological rehabilitation.  Kate has gained clinical experience working with veterans, Medicare referrals, and private clients at Exercise Physiology clinics in Brisbane, Wauchope and Port Macquarie .
She has a very keen interest in neurological rehabilitation following her time working at Sporting Wheelies and Disabled Association and Spinal Cord Injuries Australia’s Walk On Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Program in Brisbane. She is passionate about maximizing recovery and improving individuals’ quality of life through exercise.
 Kate is also very passionate about the benefits of Pilates for injury management and prevention. After many years of self-practice she recently completed her Comprehensive Pilates Teachers Training with Basi in 2013.

Brigitte Kemp

After finishing school, Brigitte joined the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as a clerk. Four years and two overseas deployments later, Brigitte left the Air Force to complete a Bachelor of Nursing. Brigitte met and married Michael Kemp while in the Air Force and when not wrangling their three little boys can be found behind the front desk at Keystone Health in Kempsey. Brigitte has a passion for health and fitness and is currently studying her Certificate 1V in fitness. 
Clare Jones

Clare is a Registered Nurse, Naturopath and Practice Manager with a broad range of experience in the Health Care Industry.
Before deciding to return to the Mid-North Coast to settle and work with Keystone Health, Clare spent six years working as a Practice Manager on Hamilton Island. Keystone Health has established itself as a well-respected and well known Physiotherapy Practice at three sites on the Mid-North Coast providing quality, comprehensive, evidence based and patient-centered Physiotherapy products and treatment. Clare is committed to assisting Michael and Brigitte continue to grow and develop their business, while still maintaining a focus on achieving the best outcomes for our patients and the communities we live and work in.Clare is a keen home gardener, and has interests in lead-lighting, reading, photography and her young Grandchild.
   
Carmel Ball
Administration/Bookkeeper
 
Carmel is qualified MYOB Instructor having taught at TAFE.  
She joined Keystone Health as Bookkeeper and receptionist in 2012 in our South West Rocks Clinic.
Carmel is a keen bowler.

Tahlia joined Keystone Health in 2013 as Receptionist working mainly in the Kempsey Clinic.
Thalia has 2 young children and has completed Certificate 3 in Aged Care and has a passion for health and fitness.
